This completely new edition brings together leading edge work from research and practice to reflect on some of the key developments in the field of child and youth participation and democratic engagement since the first edition published in 2010. The text includes 36 chapters with contributions involving over 100 authors including young people and practitioners from across the world providing new thinking and practice. Chapters focus on transformative learning processes, intergenerational dynamics, children and young people as researchers, youth activism, struggles for social justice and young people’s responses to the climate crisis.
