Child abuse, sexual exploitation and domestic violence

The Centre has an international reputation for research into interpersonal violence and abuse including child sexual abuse and exploitation, sexual offending, domestic and gender based violence. Interests are focused on understanding better the underlying causes of abuse and violence in the context of interpersonal relationships and socio-cultural drivers as well as preventing violence through policy and practice developments, including sex offender reintegration, and education programmes. This has included the development of None in Three (Ni3) which is a global initiative involving the innovative use of prosocial games to generate awareness, empathy and non-adversarial conflict resolution skills among young people (http://noneinthree.hud.ac.uk/).
