This theme is concerned with child and youth transitions in particular from school to work and leaving care. We are also concerned with the particular experiences of marginalised and socially excluded young people such as young people leaving care, young offenders, young people who are NEET and minority groups of young people. Specific interests include: the significance of identity, agency and empowerment in transitions, peer support, advocacy and the implications for professional practice and professional roles and relationships with young people.
