Intersex and Variations of Sex Characteristics

Intersex and Variations of Sex Characteristics

The University has an international reputation for pioneering research about the issues facing intersex people, those with variations of sex characteristics, their families, and stakeholders working in this field. We conduct research and capacity building that aims to support the wellbeing of intersex people in areas such as policy making, healthcare practice, and social justice. Our work includes the INIA project, which is an international network providing 10 innovative research projects and training a new generation of researchers.

A wide variety of children's toys on a brown rug. A child's arms are visible, playing with the toys. The rest of the child is out of the frame. There is no suggestion that the arms are not attached to a child, we just can't see them.
