Microbial Therapeutics and Infection Control Centre

The Centre for Microbial Therapeutics and Infection Control is focussed on two main areas or research and development:

Firstly the isolation and characterisation of probiotic microorganisms and the determination of their therapeutic impacts on human health.

Secondly the evaluation, development and screening of disinfectants, biocidal products and antimicrobial agents aimed at the healthcare sector.

The Centre’s staff have a long history of working closely with industry and academia on a wide range of issues from short term problem solving projects to large scale multicentre research collaborations.
