Welcome

With the rapid growth of this industry, the Turbocharger Research Group (TRG) at The University of Huddersfield has been established to develop training to support companies at the forefront of this world-leading technology and to conduct research relating to the use of turbochargers in the fields of:

  • Structural integrity
  • Computational simulation
  • NVH
  • Complex applications
  • Systems engineering
  • Test methodologies

This research covers the full range of turbocharger applications from small vehicle engines to large low speed marine engines.

The institute brings together experienced professionals who have spent a significant amount of time working in the turbocharger and engine industries throughout the world.  This gives us an unparalleled and unique insight into the field.

Our innovative team is now available to investigate new technologies and to solve existing problems, either through collaborative research or on a consultancy basis.
