Alan joined The Business School in April 2004, having retired from practice at the end of 2003.

1995-03 Partner, Neil Myerson Solicitors Joint Head of Company/Commercial Department for a Law Firm specialising in commercial law with a varied commercial client base.

1991-94 Legal Director, Whitbread Beer Company Head of national legal department. 1986-94 Regional Solicitor, Whitbread Trading Division Head of regional legal department.

1984-86 Chief Solicitor, Housing Division, Christian Salvesen Plc Company Secretary, Christian Salvesen (Properties) Ltd. Head of national legal department

1976-84 Partner, J.P.Edwards & Taylor Solicitors

1974-76 Solicitor, Linaker & Linaker Solicitors

Alan currently teaches: Business Law and Practice (LPC); Property Law and Practice (LPC); Commercial Property (LPC); Company Law (LLB); Land Law (GDL); Equity and Trusts (LLB) He also has responsibility: Disability Co-ordination and is a Subject Leader in BLP, PCFSMA and Commercial Property (LPC)
