Biography

Dr McHugh completed his PhD in Stem Cell model development and Pharmacogenomics, which was followed by postdoctoral work in the University of Otago’s Department of Pathology. Dr McHugh then worked as a Research Fellow in the University of Otago’s Carney Centre for Pharmacogenomics and the University of Bath’s Department of Biochemistry. In late 2011 Dr McHugh joined the University of Huddersfield as a Senior Research Fellow/Senior Lecturer in the School of Applied Science’s Department of Pharmacy. Dr McHugh’s group focuses predominantly in the key biomedical research areas of biomarker discovery and stem cell research, which encompasses several diseases/conditions including psychiatric, neurological & neurodegenerative disorders
