Dr Bo Liang previously received his BEng and MPhil degrees in engine design and manufacturing in 1982 and 1985 in China.

From 1985 to 1995, he became a Lecturer, a Senior Lecturer and then an Associate Professor at one of prestigious universities in China. In 1996 he was awarded a Sino-British Friendship Scholarship to do his PhD studying in mechanical engineering at the University of Manchester and received his PhD degree in 2000.

Teaching and Professional Activities

Dr Liang has been teaching for more than twenty years in higher education and gained extensive experiences and skills. He has taught more than twenty different courses and developed six new courses for undergraduate students and postgraduates students across mechanical, electrical and electronic engineering areas. He has also supervised and graduated six PhD students so far.
