Biography

Jacqui is the Bids and Proposals Development Manager. She joined the University in 2008 and leads on the provision of support to schools and staff on identifying and bidding for funding to support R&E activity. Previous roles include:- head of the ERDF support team in KMC and part of the GOYH regional support structures for the Objective 2 programme; Development Manager for a Sheffield community regeneration organisation & European Manager at the Sheffield Training and Enterprise Council. Qualifications include BA(Hons) Modern Languages and Politics, RSA post graduate diploma, CMS & DMS (Open University Business School)

Administrative Responsibilities

Responsible for the development, delivery and co-ordination of support to staff across the university on applying for external funding to support R&E activity. This includes training and development activity and sharing good practice. Jacqui and the team provide support on identifying appropriate external funding opportunities and on all aspects of preparing funding applications including the costing and pricing of proposals. She also acts as the University’s central liaison point for external funding agencies and for University schools on quality assurance, peer review and internal approval for R&E funding applications. Jacqui is also the lead contact for on-line approval processes for the key research funding agencies, including the Research Council’s Je-S system.
