Bejan joined The Business School as a Lecturer in Leadership in July 2014 and currently holds the position of Senior Lecturer in Leadership. Prior to this he was based at Bangor University in North Wales, where he worked as a Research Officer and facilitator for the LEAD Wales leadership development programme.
After gaining a BA (Hons) in Philosophy from the University of Manchester, and an MBA (Management) from Bangor University, he recently completed a PhD in Management Studies at Bangor University. Bejan has research interests in the areas of leadership, knowledge management, human resources and teaching in higher education.
Bejan’s research in knowledge management is primarily focused on interpersonal knowledge sharing. He is currently involved in projects examining enablers and barriers to knowledge management in micro-enterprises. He is also working with colleagues on an examination of the challenges of contributing to communities of practice within organisation.
Bejan’s interests in teaching in higher education span two principle areas: internalisation and group work. With respect to the former, Bejan is working with colleagues on a series of articles examining the impact of internationalisation within higher education on staff, students and other stakeholders. With respect to the latter, he is engaged in a project exploring applications of group-work within business management education.
