Biography

Wenlin graduated from Wuhan University of Science and Technology of China with a BSc and a MSc in Fluid Power Engineering and then worked as a maintenance engineer in Daye Steel Company in 1990s. He undertook PhD in railway research in Zhejiang University between 1998~2001 and worked as a senior R&D engineer in industry again between 2001~2005 on design and test of vehicle components and systems. He was hired as a professor and head in the Research Centre of Vehicle Engineering of Nanchang University between 2005~2011 and a professor and vice dean in the College of Mechanical & Vehicle Engineering of Hunan University since 2011. He spent almost 10 years in teaching and carrying out research into vehicle components and systems, fluid power and control in vehicle and mobile machinery.

In 2014 he joined the IRR of University of Huddersfield as a Visiting Scholar.

  • Vibration Mitigation Components of Railway System(Hydraulic dampers, Airsprings, Rail dampers,etc.)
  • Rail Vehicle System Dynamics
  • Fluid Power and Control in Vehicle and Mobile Machinery

  • Graduate level: Stochastic Vibration and Spectrum Analysis, Rail Vehicle System Dynamics, Fluid Power and Control in Vehicle and Mobile Machinery.
