I am a lecturer in motion graphics and animation, I teach on the undergraduate Graphic Design and Animation courses (mainly), and joined the university in 2014.
My primary interest is exploring motion graphics and design for broadcast (television, theatre, and screen). Production systems, storytelling, narrative and technology - systems of design and storytelling, using highly contemporary and visual graphic media.
I have worked at BBC Broadcast, BBC Sport, and freelance for clients including the National Theatre, Endemol, Channel 4 and Viasat.
My current research is exploring stories from Ukraine in the early 1930’s, using drawing and motion graphics. I am working on a short film (or films) as part of my PhD research - provisionally titled -
Recipes for Baking Bread.
The research blog is online here.
