Born and educated in Loughborough, first degree in Philosopy, followed by an MA in Fine Art.
Peviously worked at Sheffield Hallam University and University of Humberside.

Research and Scholarship

Currently writing a new novel and a collection of essays about Emile Zola.

Research interests include  The Rougon- Macquart novels by Zola, The Composite Novel and heterobiography.
