Kyriakos joined the Department in April 2016 and prior to that he worked as a Research Associate on R&D projects related to detecting nuclear fuel debris. His industrial experience includes algorithm development for nuclear imaging and novel collimator design, as well as product research for developing new types of gamma cameras. Kyriakos holds a PhD in theoretical particle physics from the University of Liverpool and has conducted postdoctoral research in applied mathematics.
Kyriakos has a wide range of interests, which include the development of novel monitoring technologies and creating analytics tools that aid decision-making.
