Qualifications: BA (Econ) Hons, MA, FCA, FHEA

Orysia joined the University in 1999 as a Senior Lecturer having qualified as a chartered accountant with an international firm of chartered accountants. She has broad experience in both practice and industry.

Orysia has extensive experience of teaching at undergraduate and professional levels. Her main teaching interests are financial accounting, corporate reporting and auditing.

Research and Scholarship

Orysia’s research interest is in the area of accounting education with particular focus on skills development and work placements.

Administrative Responsibilities

Orysia is a Deputy Academic Integrity Officer for the The Business School, Placement Champion for the Accountancy Department and Internal Moderation Co-ordinator.

Teaching and Professional Activities

Orysia is the module leader for Financial Accounting. She also teaches on the Corporate Reporting and Governance module and the Audit Framework module.

She is an Assistant Examiner for the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and also does work for the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)
