I joined the University as a Senior Lecturer in 2017 following a career as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner in primary care and inclusion health. I completed my MSc in Advanced Practice in 2013 and PGCert in Healt Professional Education in 2016. I teach both pre and post-registration courses, primary around prescrbing, advanced practice and nursing. I have had prior clinical experience in critical care nursing, HIV and sexual health. I am an independent prescriber and still work as an autonomous Advanced Nurse Practitioner alongside my academic workload. My most recent clinical experience and my main area of interest is in inclusion healthcare. The majority of my career has been spent caring for difficult to reach groups such as asylum seekers, refugees, the homelss and people dealing with addiction.
My research interests are around inclusion healthcare including homelessness and migration/asylum. I have a general interest and experience in public health and primary care.
Working as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner at Bevan Healthcare CIC, I provide clinical nursing to vulnerable and marginalised groups.
I teach across the nursing curriculum (both BSc and MSc courses) as well as non-medical prescribing and MSc Advanced Clinical Practice.
