Biography

Professor Taylor has been researching in electronic and computer-based systems for over 20 years. He has supervised 15 PhD students, published over 100 research papers and has been awarded a number of prestigious research grants by the UK research councils and international industry.

His early research was in self-testing electronic systems and error-control coding. More recently he has worked in the Computer Graphics, Vision and Imaging Group on panoramic imaging and augmented reality projects. He has been a Head of Department and Associate Dean of Computing and Engineering, Dean of International Development for the University and is now Pro Vice-Chancellor, International for the University.
