Biography

Qualifications: BA (Hons), PGCE (PCET), MA, FHEA

Sarah Williamson is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Education and Professional Development at the University of Huddersfield. She specialises in the arts and teacher education for the post-compulsory sector and teaches on undergraduate, postgraduate and Master’s level courses. In collaboration with partners including the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival (HCMF), as part of her PGCE students’ training, Sarah has developed a series of ‘Pop-Up Art Schools’ which have offered temporary, exciting and informal creative experiences in communities, art galleries and schools. Sarah’s PhD research is on the transformative impact of the arts in professional education, and she has published and presented in the field of arts and education.
