Pamela joined the University as a senior lecturer in 1995 having previously taught at the University of Humberside(now University of Lincoln). She has extensive teaching experience in financial management, international corporate finance, strategic finance and business ethics. In addition Pamela marked professionally for many years thus keeping in touch with current professional requirements.
Pamela gained a first class honours degree in Accountancy and Finance and is ACCA graduate qualified. She is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy for a number of years. In 2009 Pamela acheived a distinction in MSc Nutrition and Food Management. She is curently using both her accounting and nutrition knowledge in her research.
Pamela is currently researching in two distinct areas, firstly student placements and secondly decision making in the food industry.
Pamela has been interested in the benefits of student placements for a number of years and has investigated this statistically and through students’ views. This has led to incorporation of skills for placement in her second year teaching and offering support to students on placement through meetings whilst on placement and return to university information.
Pamela is currently undertaking a PhD at the University of Winchester under the supervision of Prof. Alan Murray. This involves an investigation of the way companies in the food sector use accounting, nutritional, social and environmental information when making decisions.

Pamela is also the Course Leader for MSc Finance and MSc Internaional Finance with Law and is module leader for BMA0067 Corporate Finance Management. She also teaches on BMA0069 Finance Theories.
