Research centres

Fashion Thinking

Fashion and Costume Thinking focuses upon four interdisciplinary research areas: Costume and Performance, Pattern Cutting and Technologies, Fashion Ecology, Fashion Economies and Business Engagement

Graphical Design Thinking

Themes currently explored by the Graphical Design Thinking research centre include: Design Art, Design Fiction, The Design Studio, DIY Design and the Editor as Art Director.

Textile Thinking

The Centre for Textile Thinking focuses upon four key areas: Science and technology, sustainable futures, craftsmanship and the handmade, enterprise and business engagement.

Sculptural Thinking

The Centre for Sculptural Thinking explores how the expanded character of materials gives shape to sculptural form in cultural, technical and industrial contexts.
