Staff in the centre have expertise in a range of methods and approaches to support learning and development in organisations, services and communities. Centre members have considerable experience of providing programme and service evaluation and improvement projects across social care, health, education and community settings. A unique aspect to our approaches is the use of reflective practice and systemic action inquiry approaches working collaboratively with professionals to support innovation and improvement in services. Centre staff also bring expertise in involvement of service users and carers as experts by experience and embedding participation in service planning and review processes. We have particular expertise in the participation of children and young people in public sector service design, delivery and evaluation and in shared decision-making in health and care settings.
