CeReNeM provides a vibrant academic and cultural environment, with a rich and varied programme of concerts, seminars, lectures, festivals, conferences/symposia, workshops, and masterclasses. Those activities are supported through the outstanding facilities of Huddersfield’s Richard Steinitz Building, including its cutting-edge studios and technological resources, as well as outstanding collections of the university’s Music Library and the Heritage Quay Archive.

CeReNeM’s activities are uniquely international in their scope and profile. Our students and staff represent over 20 nationalities, and CeReNeM maintains an extensive network of academic and industry partnerships, exchanges, and collaborative projects, including the ‘Speculations in Sound’ International Research Network and key partnerships with leading international ensembles, festivals, publishers, record labels, and electronic music studios
