Network Purpose
The Secure Societies Institute has formed a research network for members at all stages of their research career who have an interest in research in the VAWG area, building on the previous research on gender-based violence at the University of Huddersfield, including the renowned None-in-Three Research Centre.
The initial purpose of the group is;
- To develop an inclusive, cross schools community of practice to support the development of VAWG research at Huddersfield University.
- To encourage networking and the sharing of research interests, activities, ideas, contacts and opportunities for research funding, public engagement and collaborative research project development in a supportive setting.
- Create a research network which supports research which informs, and is informed by, policy, practice, activism, and community/lived experience involvement in research.
- A space to share opportunities for working with women in our communities/networks locally nationally and internationally.
