Spent Nuclear Fuel & Waste Form Performance Under Geological Disposal Conditions Workshop

This is the first workshop in a series of workshops to be conducted in the next few years bringing together scientists from the UK and around the world specialising in spent nuclear fuel and nuclear waste form performance under geological disposal conditions. Its focus is to discuss the latest research on the subject and provide a platform to build new collaborations to address the common scientific challenges. It will cover topics dealing with experimental and computational aspects of corrosion and self-irradiation damage and their coupling, gas generation and fluid transport under disposal conditions, and the use of artificial intelligence. The workshop is funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council of the United Kingdom and the University of Huddersfield.
