10th International Workshop: When Social Science meets Lean & Digital Technologies: 10 years and beyond
1st & 2nd June 2023, Federal University of Bahia, Salvador, Brazil
The International Workshop When Social Science meets Lean & BIM has been a successful event over the past decade, promoting a forum for discussion on Lean Construction, Building Information Modelling (BIM) and the social sciences. Over the years, the adoption of different technologies and the digitalisation of construction processes have been underpinning topics in the workshop. They also acknowledged the relevance of social aspects as intrinsic and entangled to the interplay between Lean and Digital Technologies, highlighting the need to further investigate the links between digital technologies, Lean Construction, and human behaviour.
To celebrate the 10th Workshop and to reflect the evolution observed over the years, the name of the event has been updated to ‘When Social Science meets Lean and Digital Technologies’, and its topic consists of the 10 years and beyond. Participants of the workshop will be engaged in a rich conversation which will look back and forward, aiming to reflect and discuss about existing research, their evolution in relation to the workshop central theme (i.e., Social Science, Lean and Digital Technologies), as well as insight into current research trends and their way forward.
The event will run in the same week and location as the '2023 Global Leadership Forum for Construction Engineering and Management'.
