Project Team

The project team is comprised of 11 Ethiopian staff.  Of these, seven are based at the office in Mizan-Teferi with a further five team members based in the woreda (district) in which they work.   The team is supported in Ethiopia by EWNRA and in the UK by a wide range of staff from Huddersfield Business School.

A European Economic Interest Grouping, which focuses on capacity building of local NGOs in developing countries. It’s’ staff have over 30 years’ experience in Africa, Asia and Latin America.

Agricultural Offices

Southern Nations, Nationalities and People’s Regional State. Government institution at the local level in charge of agricultural activities and partner in the project.

EWNRA

Ethio-Wetlands and Natural Resources Association

Founded in 2000, this is the first Ethiopian NGO to focus on forest and wetland issues. EWNRA has worked with Huddersfield since its inception; EWNRA runs a number of projects in Ethiopia.
